Industrial floors and floorings
Press-Welded Gratings are highly durable and reliable due to their manufacturing technology. This is why they are often used in the Industry . Press welded grating is generally derived from Steel S235JR . The bearing bars are manufactured using a special process whereby twisted square bars are pressed into the bearing bars and fully electrically welded at the same time.
The benefits of press-welded gratings for industrial floors and floorings:
- Available in standard mesh (e.g. 30x30) and security mesh versions (19x19 30x19, retains bearings of 20 mm).
- Can be manufactured with single or double notching for use in slippery inside or outside conditions (oil, fat, snow, rain, black ice, etc.).
- Quick assembly with standard or custom retaining fasteners.
Custom Manufacture
GEI can manufacture made-to-measure press-welded gratings to meet your requirements (layout, size, etc.).
Our research department is available to handle your technical requirements and your intended layouts, and can advise you on issues up to and including the realisation of your orders.

Load tables
Press-welded grating is obtained by electrical welded transverse bars, which are usually square and twisted (but can be round and straight) into the bearing bars. The grating is produced with “flat” banding, and then optionally undergoes hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with the applicable EN ISO 1461 standards. For an optimised anti-slip surface, it is possible to produce serrated press-welded grating, with serration on the bearing bars only. It is typically manufactured from EN 10025 standard S235JR steel which ensures a consistent production quality. RAL-GZ 638 manufacturing tolerances applied.
