GEI Gitterroste also offers so-called heavy-duty gratings for projects with GEI Gitterroste heavy-duty gratings .
They are designed to withstand traffic from cars, trucks, and other vehicles, and are mainly used as industrial flooring or parking areas for heavy vehicles (trucks, helicopters, heavy transporters, or tanks…).
These are gratings whose bearing bars are particularly tall and strong.
The Heavy-duty grating is generally a pressed grating but can also be manufactured as a welded pressed grating .
The structural calculation of the gratings is based on the material properties and possible bending limits of steel, following the load classes B125 (car load), C250 (truck load), and D400 (loads up to 38 t) of the EN 1433 standard. Individual load specifications can also be used as the basis for the structural calculation. Based on the specified load applied to a given load cube, either the maximum support span or the bearing bar to be used is determined.
