A tactile paving tile (podotactile tile) can be installed on the landing to make the steps safer for blind or visually impaired individuals and to support barrier-free design.

For securing your Stair steps GEI Gitterroste offers a simple system suitable for any type of staircase: the mounting tabs on the steps are equipped with a hole pattern according to DIN 24531-1 (round and elongated holes) and can be screwed to the stringer. Custom hole patterns are also possible.

Pressed Grating Stair Tread

GEI Gitterroste, your expert in gratings, offers pressed-grating steps for your staircase projects.

The steps can be custom-made to meet your needs. They are available with a slip-resistant nosing (perforated strip), and an optionally contrasting-colored nosing can be provided for better visibility.

In terms of both safety and design, GEI Gitterroste offers a comprehensive range of grating steps. The pressed-grating steps, also used in public areas, are characterized by their aesthetics and precise surface finish, and can additionally be manufactured with slip protection on the bearing and/or filler bars to further enhance safety.

Polyester Grating Panel / Stair Tread

GEI Gitterroste, the specialist in gratings, offers stair steps made from FRP gratings. FRP gratings for stair steps differ from other types of grating steps in that their production costs are lower and they are used in very specific areas, such as industry, chemical, and nuclear sectors.

FRP grating steps are available with different surface finishes.

You can choose from:

  • concave steps,
  • concave steps with a sanded nosing,
  • steps with a contrasting-colored nosing,
  • or steps with a slip-resistant nosing.
